The EP opens with “Wet Paper” an intoxicating, rhythm driven track that immediately pulls listeners into Blue Vedder’s layered soundscape. As the focus single, “Wet Paper” introduces a new flavor to Blue Vedder’s music, blending trip hop inspired beats with synth laden textures. This choice, shaped by the influence of co-producer Joe Agius (Hatchie, RINSE, The Creases), marks a fresh direction for the band. Experimenting with drum machines and unconventional synth sounds, Agius and Hancock have created something that feels fresh yet familiar.

Following “Wet Paper” "FAREWELL.GOODBYE." eases into “Morning Light”, a standout track built for swaying mosh pits. With its five and a half minute journey through swelling guitar riffs and emotive lyrics, “Morning Light” exemplifies Blue Vedder’s knack for marrying soaring melodies with grounded, relatable themes. The EP continues with “Freaking Out”, a fan favourite that has already made waves at their live shows. The track builds on their signature energy and seamlessly leads into the EP’s closing song, “Careless”, which leaves listeners with a sense of warmth and nostalgia, a bittersweet close that underscores the EP’s title.

"FAREWELL.GOODBYE." reflects Blue Vedder’s roots as well as their evolution. From 90s breakbeat to Britpop, shoegaze, and alternative rock, the EP is a collage of genres that showcases the band’s diverse influences while keeping true to their DIY spirit. With Agius co-producing and Chris Peruch engineering the drum tracks, the production is polished yet retains the raw energy that has defined Blue Vedder’s sound since their inception. The collaborative effort is evident in the intricate layers of sound that define each track, providing a textured listening experience that invites listeners back for multiple spins.
