Daisy Park Unveils New Single 'Always' Ahead of Hyper Festival Appearance

Emerging from Perth’s thriving indie-rock scene, Daisy Park is kicking off 2025 with the release of their emotionally charged new single, 'Always'. This latest track marks a significant milestone for the band as they continue their upward trajectory in the Australian music landscape.

With 'Always', Daisy Park offers listeners an intimate exploration of emotional suppression and unresolved heartache. The song captures the turmoil of masking internal struggles behind a composed exterior, drawing inspiration from the likes of Wunderhorse and Slow Pulp.

“At its core, Always is about the sudden loss of a relationship and trying to cope with not knowing what went wrong, It reflects the contrast between what I showed outwardly to my friends and family versus how I truly felt inside.”

The track’s soaring guitar lines, layered over Fyn’s raw and heartfelt vocals, create a powerful soundscape that echoes with fans of indie and alt-rock alike. The song was recorded and mixed by the band's guitarist, Mitch Santiago, in his home studio, showcasing Daisy Park’s DIY ethos and dedication to their craft.

Accompanying the single is a stunning music video, directed by longtime collaborator Juno Shean. Filmed along Fremantle’s picturesque coastline, the video is imbued with a nostalgic haze, further amplifying the themes of longing and introspection that run through 'Always'.

“This was the first music video we’ve ever done as a band, that green lighthouse is an iconic part of Fremantle, a place where most of us spent our teenage years. It’s special to be able to create something meaningful in a location that holds so many memories for us.”

Daisy Park’s momentum shows no signs of slowing down. Following their recognition in Triple J's 'Unearthed’s High Yearbook' in 2023, where they received the ‘Spacey Jane’s Little Sibling Award’, the four-piece has continued to build a dedicated fanbase across Western Australia.

Their upcoming performance at Hyper Festival in March, alongside indie heavyweights San Cisco and DICE, is just one of many exciting events on their 2025 calendar. Additionally, the band is gearing up for a West Coast tour supporting Fool Nelson, setting the stage for what is poised to be their most successful year yet.Since their formation in early 2022, Daisy Park has quickly established themselves as one of Perth’s most promising new bands. Their infectious energy and heartfelt songwriting have earned them high praise from industry voices, including Triple J’s Claire Mooney and Happy Mag.

With a debut EP on the horizon and a packed schedule of performances, Daisy Park is proving that they are more than just an up and coming act, they’re a band on the verge of something big. 'Always' is just the beginning of an exciting new chapter, and fans are eager to see where 2025 takes them.
