Tasmania’s favourite celebration of music, art, and community is back March 6! The Good Gumnuts Festival returns in 2026, transforming the bushland of Burnie into a vibrant hub of creativity, connection, and unforgettable live performances.

With its strong focus on sustainability and community driven ethos, Good Gumnuts continues to be a highlight on the festival calendar for music lovers and families alike.

So enough with the formalities and here's the 2026 Good Gumnuts Lineup


DOPE LEMON

Since its debut in 2016 with critically acclaimed album 'Honey Bones', DOPE LEMON the moniker of acclaimed Australian artist Angus Stone has cultivated a reputation for pairing dreamy, laid-back grooves with deeply introspective lyrics.

DOPE LEMON's rich, immersive soundscapes have struck a chord with audiences across the globe. Albums like 'Smooth Big Cat' (2019) and 'Rose Pink Cadillac' (2022) have not only climbed the ARIA charts, frequently earning #1 rankings in independent and vinyl categories, but have also garnered a devoted international following, with notable success in US, Germany, Switzerland and beyond. His most recent album, 'Kimosabè' (2023), continued this momentum, earning an ARIA nomination for Best Blues & Roots and taking out the #2 Australian Album chart. 

DOPE LEMON has headlined sold-out tours across Australia, North America, and Europe, including appearances at Lollapalooza, Austin City Limits, and most recently joining Post Malone on the Australian leg of his 2023 arena tour. DOPE LEMON has also gained recognition for collaborations with the likes of Cedric Gervais, The Magician, Winston Surfshirt.


The Jungle Giants

With well over half a billion streams worldwide and growing, Australian artists The Jungle Giants are fast becoming an unstoppable force.

Known for delivering explosive high-energy live performances, the band include all-rounder Sam Hales(vocalist/guitarist/songwriter/producer), lead guitarist Cesira Aitken, bassist Andrew Dooris and drummer Keelan Bijker. With the release of their #1 ARIA-charting fourth album 'Love Signs', The Jungle Giants are channeling hope, love and a dance-pop sensibility into their most irresistible and genre-defying work yet. 

'Love Signs' is the first album that Sam Hales has written, recorded, performed and produced alone. Channeling diverse influences like Timbaland and Ashanti in his ‘90s production style and vocal falsettos, Hales has created The Jungle Giants’ most popular work yet. First single 'Heavy Hearted' is ARIA-certified Platinum, with 'Sending Me Ur Loving' and 'In Her Eyes' close behind.

Young Franco

Brisbane producer Young Franco, with collective streams clocking over 50 Million on Spotify alone, Young Franco is one to look out for. He’s been played out by the likes of Hayden JamesRÜFÜSMotezAlison WonderlandRudimentalNvoySnakehipsSG LewisFlight Facilities and many more. With multiple tracks added to high rotation on Triple J and spins on BBC Radio 1Kiss FM and Beats1.

Young Franco’s latest album 'it's Franky baby!', is a compilation of various previously released singles from all the way back to 2020, with some hit singles like 'Juice' and 'FallinApart', and collaborating with international superstars such as Denzel Curry and Earthgang.


Sneaky Sound System

Sneaky Sound System is Miss Connie and Angus McDonald. 2006 saw the release of their self-titled, 3 x platinum debut album. Spearheaded by 'UFO', 'Pictures' and 'I Love It', it won ARIA Awards for Breakthrough Artist and Best Dance Release.

Second LP and #1 album '2' followed in 2008 with more dancefloor slayers, 'Kansas City', 'When We Were Young' and #1 UK club smash 'It’s Not My Problem'. In 2009 'I Will Be Here', a collab w/ superstar DJ Tiesto, topped the US Dance and UK Club charts.

In 2011, album no. 3: 'From Here To Anywhere'. MTV called it “incredible”. A nomination in the prestigious Intl DJ Awards underscored Sneaky’s escalating reputation.

Meantime Connie lent vocals and lyrics to albums from superstars Jay-ZKanye West and Snoop Dogg. A 2013 a critics poll ranked Connie #18 of all-time Australian singers. And Sneaky Sundays, their beloved club night, is now almost 20 years strong.


Thirsty Merc

Australian indie rock quartet Thirsty Merc formed in Sydney in 2002, singer/guitarist Rai Thistlethwayte, lead guitarist Matt Baker, bassist Phil Stack, and drummer Karl Robertson co-founded the original lineup, which in 2003 issued its debut EP, 'First Work', notching the hit singles 'Wasting Time' and 'Emancipate Myself'. 

Thirsty Merc's self-titled full-length followed in 2004, cracking the Top 20 on the Aussie LP charts and generating the hits 'My Completeness' and 'Someday, Someway'. Despite the record's success, Baker resigned from the lineup soon after its release and the remaining trio recruited ex-Midnight Swim guitarist as his replacement. In mid-2005 Thirsty Mercissued an expanded edition of the album, scoring a minor hit with the additional cut "When the Weather Is Fine."


DICE

DICE formed in 2020 and emerged on the Perth music scene in 2021, quickly gaining attention with their energetic live performances.Their early success was bolstered by significant airplay on Triple J, Australia's leading youth radio station. They were featured as a Triple J Unearthed artist in 2022.

In May 2023, DICE released their sophomore EP, 'Time Will Tell'. The EP received extensive airplay on Triple J and featured the singles 'Quick to Judge' and 'Double Espresso'.

In 2024, Dice embarked on their 'Quick to Judge' national tour, performing in both regional areas and major cities across Australia.

The band has also performed at major festivals such as Groovin' the Moo and Splendour in the Grass.


Rum Jungle

Hailing from the coastal alleyways of a steel city, Rum Jungle brings you gritty alt-rock anthems, heartfelt ballads, and everything in between songs that capture a magnetic, introspective, and hyper-reflective state of mind.

With pop melodies, psychedelic guitars, and chilled groove beats, their sound delivers a sweet and loveable vibe, like cracks in the share house walls that the homeowners don’t mind because the party’s just too good. The lads have quickly built a global fanbase, leading to sold-out shows across the UK, Europe, and Australia. They’ve showcased their surf-rock-alt-pop mastery at The Great EscapeReeperbahn, and SXSW (Sydney).


Art vs Science

Beloved Sydney electronic dance band Art vs Science have released their long-awaited new album ‘Big Overdrive’. The vibe-packed record, written and recorded over the past decade includes their new dancefloor ready single ‘I Saw You’ and ARIA club hit ‘SWEAT’ produced by Kim Moyes (The Presets). 

Rich in melodies, synth stabs and classic Art vs Science experimentation, ‘Big Overdrive’ is a collection of songs that captures the heights of the trio as a groundbreaking alternative dance band, pushing musical boundaries with crafted multi-layered bangers.


Kim Churchill

In 2024, Kim returned with his Eight-studio album 'It's Lovely To Have You Here' , highly praised by industry and fans alike. Hitting home runs with singles 'Hobbies', 'Reflecting' (Feat. Emily Brimlow) and 'The Wayside', Kim is currently on his biggest Australian tour ever, a staggering run of more than 70 shows. 

He's travelling in him camper van around the country over the next 6 months playing to a 15 year lngo dedicated fanbase. Later this year Kim will release a new song with Emily Brimlow. Next summer Kim's sound will be heard throughout the European and Canadian festival season as well with extensive summer tours booked across both continents. As for the US, kim has news coming very soon for the Fall.


Playlunch

If you’ve spent any time in the Melbourne music scene this year, you’ve undoubtedly heard the name Playlunch on more than one occasion. Since bursting onto the scene only 2 years ago, the enigmatic eight-piece have gained a reputation for their unique brand of Australian Bogan Funk bangers.

Dressed head to toe in traffic-mat tracksuits, and adorned in speed-dealer sunnies, and yellow zinc, the band’s midnight shows have become renowned for anthemic dance jams such as 'Blue Light Disco' and 'Foxtel Girl'. 

These shows are repeatedly packed with 00s babies dressed in No Hat No Play bucket hats, Kevin07 Handball tees and rumoured to include aths day style house chant competitions between divided sections of the bustling crowd.

Since going viral on TikTok in 2023 with a live clip of their track 'Soupe Opera' (a rap remix of the ABC classic) the boys have been trailblazing a path through the Aussie music scene with their self-produced debut album 'Who’s Ready For A Good Time?'

Recorded in a shed out back of a Brunswick share house, the 10 track LP includes features from the likes of Julia GillardAunty DonnaCorey Worthington and Iceman / wellness guru Wim Hof


Letters to Lions

After a seven-year hiatus, Sydney-based indie rock outfit Letters to Lions are back and stronger than ever. Known for their infectious energy and heartfelt lyrics, the band has re-emerged with fresh music that blends nostalgic charm with dynamic, modern sounds.

With over 17 million streams across their catalog, Letters to Lions have proven their staying power. 

Their comeback single, 'My Hair Is Just a Little Bit On Fire', reignited fan excitement, while their breakout track 'Mushrooms' continues to resonate with audiences globally.

Renowned for their electric live performances, the band recently headlined Australian festivals Tone City in Perth and Springfest, sold out three back-to-back shows in Sydney within 24 hours, and are set to perform at Spaced Out Festival and Best Night Ever.


Adam Newling

Raised in Cronulla and born to a first-generation Greek mother and an Aussie father, Adam Newling utilises country sensibilities and eclectic knowledge of sound in his music to unprecedented effect.

Adam Newling’s EP, 'Half Cut and Dangerous', has seen the gruff-voiced Australian songwriter and guitarist notch up more than 3 million Spotify streams. Newling sold out all shows of his national tour in April 2022. He was then invited to join Amy Shark on her sold-out tour, and joined SKEGSS for their North American Tour in November 2022.

'Sweetness', the lead single from 'Half Cut and Dangerous', was voted in at #98 in Triple J's "Hottest 100" of 2021.

Newling made 'Half Cut and Dangerous' with his long-time collaborators, Tas Wilson (bass), Keva Wilson(keys/vocals), and Patrick Rogers (drums); both Ruby Fields and Skegss’ Benny Reed make guest appearances.

Adam also received a number #1 ARIA award for his work on Ruby Fields’ album 'Been Doin’ It For A Bit', beating out the likes of Lil Nas X and Drake.


Kira Puru

Distinctive vocal prowess and an innate ability to captivate audiences has earned Kira Puru a reputation as a fierce performer, well-loved by fans and critics alike.

The acclaimed powerhouse continues to assert herself as an ever-rising star in the pop music galaxy, returning to the spotlight with new single, 'All My Boyfriends'.


Dizzy Days

Brimming with energy, passion, and heat, Dizzy Days has ignited the scene with their disco-dance pop anthems that have been resonating with young and old fan bases alike. This fiery four-piece band crafts a unique sound that stands out from their contemporaries and artists surrounding them alike.

Lead vocalist Aisling O’Byrne, with an electric stage presence and soulful wit, leads the charge. Flanked by the mesmerizing bass lines of Bridgette Dabinett, the sparkling guitar riffs of EJ Carey, and the energetic drums of Mikaela Swan, making them an unstoppable force.


Joel Leggett

Joel Leggett is a dynamic and talented multi-instrumentalist who has been captivating audiences with his soulful melodies and heartfelt lyrics. With three acclaimed albums, Joel is set to make 2025 a landmark year, releasing a series of new tracks that showcase his evolving sound. His latest work blends fresh influences with the authentic, emotive storytelling his fans love, reflecting a creative direction that feels truer to his artistic vision.

Joel’s music journey includes remarkable achievements. His debut album, 'Changing Currents', is nearing 20 million streams, a testament to its enduring appeal. Big Wheels

Meet Big Wheels, the electric cocktail of rock nostalgia and sun-soaked flair co-fronted by Cass Ford & Lawson Doyle

Having just returned from a 4-month stint in the UK to record their highly anticipated debut EP. What began in the sleepy suburbs of the Sunshine Coast late 2021, fuelled by a shared love for the likes of Fleetwood MacJefferson Airplaneand The Black Keys.


GRXCE

As if Paramore wrote a melody which Phoebe Bridgers penned lyrics to; GRXCE are a multi-layered enigma that delve deep into the introspections of womanhood, heartbreak and how it feels to be navigating your 20s in today's world. Much more than just carefully crafted and addictive songwriting, the Eora-based band are constantly pushing the envelope on how they deliver their work to their listeners. Most recently the band released a self-produced short film to accompany their debut EP ‘Sorry for Being Sad’ which sold-out Sydney’s iconic Ritz Cinema for its screening. 

The debut record from GRXCE is drenched with equal parts scrunched-up love letters to your past self and melancholy, longing and angst following lead singer Jamila Grace’s personal journey with her mental health which led to her ADHD diagnosis. 


Fur Blossom

Fur Blossom are a psychedelic trip back in time to the 60s and 70s. 

Finding a harmonious balance between the grooves that let you lose yourself in the beating heart of the cosmos, and an eruption of glorious sonic fervour


The Sundials

The Sundials are all the high-voltage energy of vintage garage rock spliced with the powerful rhythmic groove of 1970s funk, bound up into something as utterly unique as it is explosive and bombastic. 

The Huge Vocals and Saxophone meet with the driving electric 12-string guitar to create songs that are made to be jumped to: If Music of the Mick Taylor Era Rolling Stones had powerful passionate sex with the Godfather of Soul James BrownThe Sundials would be the explosive result.


エミエミ (emi emi)

エミエミ (emi emi) is the experimental j-pop project from 26-year-old Emi Doi.

Born and raised in lutruwita/Tasmania to her Australian mum and Japanese dad, ミエミエ (emi emi) sings in a mixture of Japanese and English, drawing inspiration from the likes of Kero Kero BonitoCHAIKyary Pyamu Pyamu and AAAMYYY. With distinctive influences from the j-pop genre, her music aims to lift your spirits and put キドキド (doki doki) in your heart.

ミ エ ミ エ (emi emi) has already garnered a significant reputation as a live act since commencing the project in 2022, with bookings at Dark MofoA Festival Called PANAMA and HAYDAYS, as well as support slots for Luca Brasi and Set Mo.


Baby Lemur

An experimental project by Callum Coleman, written in a little yellow van somewhere in between the ocean and the desert of Australia, brought to life with those closest in bedroom studios in hometown Hobart. 

After years bottling up these emotions and fragments of consciousness, Baby Lemur is the outlet for uninterrupted expression, and might just be yours too.



Lasca Dry

All Lasca wishes is that what she does can inspire you to do what you love also. 

A quote by a new found love of mine Keith Richards, but he can't compete with my ultimate love Jimmy Page:    

'About myself, I have no great illusions. I know what I am (Lasca 'questionable') I know what I'm good at. I know what I ain't. I'm always hoping to surprise myself. But I do have a love of music and I do love to communicate it, and thats the best I can do really. And I can raise a good family, too


Captain O'Briens Craic

Hailing from Launceston in Tasmania's north, Captain O'Brien's Craic are a 7-piece Pop/Rock band drawing influences from traditional Irish and Celtic sounds.

After cutting their teeth at their local pubs, 2021 saw the band take to the festival circuit with their powerful and captivating show. Now, in 2022, comes the release of new studio recorded tracks, fulling encapsulating the energy of their raucous live experience.


Bonsai

Bonsai blends a classic rock sound with contemporary Australian indie production to create an exciting new brand of music.

Hailing from Hobart/nipaluna, the quintet's catchy riffs and harmonies coupled with an electrifying live show have seen BONSAI emerge as one of Tassie's most watchable bands.


Nice House

Nice House are your new wave pop rock neighbours in short shorts and sneakers, asking risqué questions over the scraggly fences of nipaluna/Hobart. The band are a ten-legged dancing machine with vocal pizazz, leaning on synth with the happy wobble of a drunk, stilletoed aunty.

Nice House has made a splash in the Tasmanian music scene with blistering hot performances at Party in the PaddockMONA FOMATaste of SummerBonzaki FestivalReclink Community Cup, and Junction Arts Festival.


Backyard Business

Backyard Business emerged in the depths of Corra Linn, lutruwita. A band inspired by the likes of Slowly SlowlySly WithersKings of Leon and Foo Fighters.

Backyard Business grew from backyard gigs with supportive mosh pits but the boys are starting to make a name for themselves locally from playing multiple headline shows, opening shows, local festival lineups and recently supported British India on their 2024 Tasmanian Tour. The boys also played their first interstate headline show in Naarm (Melbourne) in April 2024.

The boys released their Debut single ‘Red Cans’ in early December of 2023. They released their second single ‘Landmine’ in January of 2024. In July 2024, the boys released their third single ‘Blockie Races’.

Backyard Business strive to put on the best show that they can with catchy melodies, high energy riffs, pumping rhythms and energetic stage presence.


Jameslane

Jameslane are a high-octane two-piece rock outfit hailing from the convict corner of Tasmania. Raw, loud, and unapologetically original, they carve a sound that hits with the force of a full band, fuelled by grit, energy, and a no-compromise spirit.


Glass Media

Glass Media, an indie pop rock trio from nipaluna/Hobart, Tasmania, blends catchy melodies with energetic rock. Anna Hensher (bass & vocals), Archer Lane (guitar) and Max Greenwood (drums) have quickly made a name for themselves capturing the essence of their Tasmanian roots.

Known for their captivating performances, they bring a fresh twist to the local music scene.


Rivierra

Rivierra are singer-songwriter(s) from Lutruwita/Hobart, weaving heartfelt storytelling with soaring melodies. With singles like 'karma''Lucy', and 'Alive', he showcases a lyrical honesty that resonates deeply with listeners. Known for their raw, emotive performances

Rivierra has the ability to captivate any stage he steps onto, drawing audiences into songs that balance vulnerability with strength. They continue to carve out their place in the indie scene, bringing a refreshing authenticity to every release.


Sam McMeekin

Sam McMeekin is carving out a niche with her distinctive blend of country roots and pop sensibility. Her musical prowess is uniquely hers, while reminiscent of today's biggest stars in the genre, drawing inspiration from the likes of Taylor SwiftPhoebe Bridgers, and Lainey Wilson

In the past year, Sam has taken on a multitude of stages including Party in The PaddockLuca Brasi and The WolfeBrothers.


Mia Barron

Mia Barron is a singer-songwriter from Hobart, Tasmania, whose music blends heartfelt storytelling with soulful melodies. Her debut album 'Pages Unfolding' introduces listeners to an intimate journey through love, loss, and self-discovery.

With a voice that carries both strength and vulnerability, Mia is now bringing her lyrics and emotion to the stage, ready to connect with audiences through her honest and captivating performances.


Panned To The Left

Panned to the Left is a DJ and producer from North-West Tasmania who thrives on flipping grooves sideways and keeping the dancefloor alive. Known for his gritty, funk-driven sound, he digs deep into ghetto funk, blending chunky bass lines, hip-hop cuts, and breakbeat swagger into a signature style that’s equal parts raw energy and smooth flow.  


Beyond the stages, Good Gumnuts offers an immersive experience, market stalls featuring local food and beverages, family friendly activities, Tattoos, and as much merchandise as you can carry! The festival grounds are designed to celebrate nature, community, and creativity making it a weekend where every moment feels special.
