Luca Brasi, The four piece punk band formed in 2009 around the core of vocalist and bassist Tyler Richardson and guitarist Thomas Busby, the group favour heart on sleeve melodic punk songs that draws listeners in with relatable lyrics and pogoing tempos.Fresh off a resounding performance at the 'Forth Pub', Luca Brasi recently descended upon 'The Odeon Theatre' as part of their much anticipated Back In Town Tour. This stop in the midlands marked the beginning of a series of gigs in Tasmania before the band kicks off their nationwide tour in support of their forthcoming album, "The World Don’t Owe You Anything".
Joined by fellow musicians, Eliza & The Delusionals and The Sleepyheads, the evening promised an electrifying showcase of talent and homecoming celebration.
Attending the night was our resident photographer and journalist, Jackson Simpson @darkdeparturevisuals to unveil the incredible experiences had. The night commenced with The Sleepyheads taking the stage, emanating a vibrant fusion of indie rock and guitar driven punk.
Hailing from Tasmania themselves, the band set an energetic tone for the evening, leaving the audience buzzing with excitement. Lead vocalist Pat's enthusiasm, marking his "45th time" seeing Luca Brasi, underscored the band's profound connection to the headliners. With a seamless blend of old and new tunes, The Sleepyheads left the stage, leaving both longtime fans and newfound admirers yearning for more.Following suit, Eliza & The Delusionals from the Gold Coast delivered a spellbinding performance, effortlessly commanding the stage with their dynamic presence. Despite the challenge of opening for hometown favorites, the band captivated the audience with lead vocalist Eliza's soaring vocals and the collective prowess of the group.
Their performance was nothing short of enthralling, setting the stage for the main event.As anticipation reached its peak, Luca Brasi made their grand entrance, greeted by an ecstatic crowd echoing their anthem, "March, March, March". The hometown heroes wasted no time in igniting the venue with their signature sound, seamlessly navigating through the various eras of their illustrious career. Lead vocalist Tyler's magnetic stage presence and boundless energy further elevated the atmosphere, solidifying the band's status as seasoned performers. As the audience savoured every moment, it became evident that Luca Brasi's legacy continues to thrive, exemplifying their unwavering commitment to their craft.
