Nice House Unleashes Energetic New Single 'Perfect Design' Ahead of Forthcoming EP

Following the dreamy, ausrock-pop stylings of 2024’s "Love Song", Tasmania’s Nice House returns with a bold sonic shift in their latest single, "Perfect Design". This track is an electrifying departure, bursting with jagged guitars, aggressive vocals, throbbing bass, and off-kilter percussion. Lead vocalist Will Moon rides the rhythmic chaos with impassioned lyrics
A perfect design, this life is a perfect design. This life is not a mistake, this life was made for mistakes.
It’s a rallying cry for embracing the unpredictability of life, urging listeners to live fully and without hesitation.

"Perfect Design" paves the way for Nice House’s upcoming EP, "The Life and Death of An Indoor Houseplant", a genre-blending collection that traverses New Wave, Funk, Yacht Rock, Dance, Punk, and Psychedelia. The EP promises a rich instrumental experience, layered with percussive energy, shimmering synths, and razor sharp guitar work, all meticulously mixed by Andrew Swayze of A. Swayze and the Ghosts. Set for release in late February across all streaming platforms, the EP will be celebrated with an EP Launch Variety Show on March 1st in Nipaluna (Hobart), promising an unforgettable night of music and mayhem.
Hailing from the lush landscapes of Tasmania, Nice House is an electric and eclectic five-piece outfit that reimagines the best of New Wave rock and pop. Known for their sharp lyricism and high-energy performances, the band has captivated audiences across the island state with their unhinged stage presence and irresistibly catchy hooks.

Whether tackling corporate greed (Nestlé’s iron grip on water monopolisation), navigating the complexities of modern neoliberalism, or exploring themes of love, tenderness, and vulnerability, the band delivers it all with unapologetic passion. Their sound is a vibrant fusion of synths, vocal harmonies, bongos, guitar solos, congas, vibraslaps, saxophone, funky bass, and even more synths, culminating in a dynamic and unpredictable listening experience.
With "Perfect Design" setting the stage for what’s to come, the excitement surrounding "The Life and Death of An Indoor Houseplant" is palpable.
