Redspencer Makes Return with Electric New Single 'This Is The Day'

Melbourne based, Rural New South Wales raised Redspencer have come back again with an electric new single 'This is the day', this marks the first new releases for their upcoming body of work out later this year.

Recorded with acclaimed writer and producer Alex Markwell (The Delta Riggs, Teen Jesus & The Jean Teasers, Kita Alexander), Redspencer's return marks their first release after a three year hiatus and sees the trio lean into their signature sound of lo-fi guitar-pop.
'This Is The Day' is filled with joyful melodies and warm delivery, juxtaposing by its lyrical content facing the happy song about death.
"'This Is The Day' is another happy song about death, sorry everyone"
Along side the new release, Redspencer has released an animated video that follows the journey of a shopping trolley from a supermarket carpark to world landmarks, a visual metaphor for finding meaning in the mundane.
Influenced by The Clientele, Dean Blunt, and the dreamy touch of Jessica Pratt, Redspencer has carved out a unique niche in the indie scene. With over 2 million streams to date and critical acclaim for their previous releases 'Perks' and 'Dreamworld', 'This Is The Day' is a confident return to form, and a promising taste at what’s to come later this year.
