The Admired Step Into the Spotlight With New Single 'Dancefloor'

Eora based emo pop duo The Admired are back with their second single, 'Dancefloor'. Following their 2024 debut 'Dream Pop Blues', the track blends nostalgic 2010s-inspired indie aesthetics with modern electro pop flair, setting the tone for their upcoming mini EP, 3 songs, due later this year.

Vocalist Bianca Davino describes 'Dancefloor' as an ode to the “it girls” of the 2010s, inspired by icons like Sky Ferreiraand Bethany Cosentino.
“The single captures the feeling of landing exactly where you’re meant to be, even if just for a fleeting moment. It’s not about milestones, but finding magic in simply living the artist’s life.”
The track carries the duo’s DIY ethos and connection to Sydney’s alternative scene. Mixing and mastering were handled by Nat Sherwood (BESTIES / Stand Atlantic / Yours Truly), ensuring a polished yet intimate sound.

Though The Admired are only two singles in, both Davino and Jacobson are no strangers to the stage.
As core members of pop punk band Grenade Jumper, they toured nationally with Yours Truly, RedHook, and Trophy Eyes, gaining airplay on Triple J and appearances at major festivals.

This year alone, The Admired have opened for Origami Angeland Bakers Eddy, and headlined Sydney Music’s Cupholder event.
With 'Dancefloor', The Admired strike a balance between nostalgia and forward thinking pop, firmly establishing themselves as one of Australia’s most exciting new acts to see.
