Tomorrow’s Forecast Breezy New Single ‘Pocket Money’

Indie outfit Tomorrow’s Forecast are back with an infectious new single, “Pocket Money”. The first taste of their highly anticipated sophomore EP. The track, built with charm and romantic indecision, marks a confident step forward for the band as they evolve their sound without losing the carefree edge that listeners grew to love.

Pocket Money” is a playful yet vulnerable exploration of modern dating dynamics, set against a backdrop of late night drinks and impulsive decisions. From the very first verse

I wanna take you out, I’ll go if it’s your shout

The band leans into casual coolness, capturing the tension between spontaneity and insecurity. It’s a song about trying to make something happen, even when you’re a little broke and a little unsure.

The chorus, with its recurring line

I’ve been spending all my pocket money, Do you want her or do you want me?

Reveals the emotional core of the song, the anxious energy of romantic competition and the desire to be chosen. It’s catchy, relatable, and laced with a self aware melancholy that cuts through the upbeat instrumentation, and a situation a lot of us have dealt with.

Lyrically, “Pocket Money” paints scenes of messy nightlife and awkward conversations, all while maintaining a sense of fun. Lines like

Oh you’re a Capricorn, I guess I know what’s in store”

Inject just the right amount of snark and astrology fuelled flirtation, while the repeated refrain

I want it now

Channels both yearning and impulsiveness, two qualities Tomorrow’s Forecast capture with remarkable authenticity.

The band’s skill for conversational storytelling and melody driven hooks is on full display here, hinting that their upcoming EP could be their most refined and emotionally resonant work yet. If “Pocket Money” is any indication, Tomorrow’s Forecast are dialling into something deeper without losing the casual charm that made them ones to watch.
